The simplest difference is that Beta Reading is done before a book is ever published. A Book Review is completed after a book has been published. Also, beta readers aren't necessarily industry experts or even editors. They are typically fans of the genre and represent your target audience. Book reviewers are typically industry professionals and have some kind of publishing or editing background. 

No two editors or editing companies are alike. Each have their own definitions of services. The services provided will depend on the package you purchase. Any editor should at the very least be able to identify and correct poor grammar, misspelled words, punctuation errors, syntax errors, and incomplete or fragment sentences. However, editing is far more than proofreading. A good editor, whether it be from Novel Treasure Publishing, or another company should be able to delve deeper than just surface mistakes. They should be able to identify character development flaws, plot inconsistencies, issues with structure, tone, flow, etc... 

No. An editor will identify the areas that are flawed, need more work, or that are inconsistent, but they will not rewrite the manuscript for you. That is ghostwriting. They may offer different word suggestions here and there, but nothing more. The editor is there to guide you and show you the areas that need improvement, much like that of a teacher or coach; but they won't do the work for you.  

No editor or editing company can guarantee that you will get published if you use their services. If they do, RUN. An editor will assist you with improving the manuscript, but no one can predict or guarantee if something will get published. We DO NOT make any guarantees that if you use our editing services, you will get published. The publishing market is fickle and what is appealing or current now, won't necessarily be tomorrow.  

No. We at Novel Treasure Publishing do not get paid to write positive reviews. We get paid to write HONEST reviews. Our clients are not just those that purchase our services, but are fans, readers, bloggers, literary agents, and publishers who use our reviews as guidance on whether to read/purchase the book. Paying for a review is no guarantee that it will be good.  

No. If you purchase our book review services, you have complete control over whether or not your review is published on our site. If your review happens to be negative, no one else will ever have to see it. You just simply let us know that you do not wish to have the review published. 

All reviews done by Novel Treasure Publishing LLC are property of Novel Treasure Publishing LLC. Should you wish to advertise your book using our review, the review must be published in its entirety including crediting Novel Treasure Publishing LLC as the originator of the review and you must also grant Novel Treasure Publishing LLC and associated affiliates the ability to publish the review as well. 

YES. To protect you as the author/agent and ourselves, we recommend obtaining fully executed NDA before beginning any services with us or any other company. You may find sample NDA's online, however we highly recommend that you consult a professional ​​before choosing a generic NDA you find online.
